Harmonious Heart Counseling, a Drop of Ink

One of my favorite metaphors, is to describe life’s problems like a dropper of ink.

If you release of dropper of blue ink into a shot glass full of water, the water in the glass will turn blue.  If, however, you put that same dropper full of blue ink into the ocean, the ocean will not be affected.

The level or strength of our own life condition can be small and limited like that of a glass of water or it can be gigantic and powerful like that of the ocean.  The good news is, we get to decide which way we want to live our lives.  The bad news is developing a gigantic and powerful life condition takes some efforts.  Just like trying to get gigantic and powerful muscles takes a lot of weight training, getting a stronger life condition means spending the time and effort to meditate or pray as you work through life’s problems.
